My Life Skills

It all starts with a conversation. Our experts will work with you to develop a package of support that’s just right for you. After developing a plan together and agreeing our services are right for you, one of our specialists may visit you at home. We can also help you to navigate the wealth of information and advice that Guide Dogs offers and recommend other services and organisations that might be helpful.

My Sighted Guide

Our sighted guiding service connects people with a trained, local volunteer to get out and do more of the things they love. As well as promoting mobility, our volunteer sighted guiding service can build your confidence and improve your social interactions.

We can also provide sighted guiding training for family and friends. This can help them to feel more confident in guiding you safely, and you can learn and adapt the best way to be guided.

Guide Dogs

Our guide dogs give people with sight loss the confidence to get out and about safely, providing life-changing practical support every day.

If you have a serious visual impairment, a guide dog can help you become more independent and mobile. Highly trained to support you in navigating any mobility challenges you may face, guide dogs are a great way to get you out and about with confidence.
