Housing First

Housing First is an innovative approach to eradicating rough sleeping. It is a relatively new approach that provides stable housing as a platform for people with multiple and complex needs to begin recovery and move away from the streets.

Julian House, Curo and DHI are working together to provide accommodation and support at 13 properties in B&NES along with a tailored support package, ensuring each tenant can sustain their accommodation in the long term.

What can you expect?

  • A choice of location, the project will consider where your support network is and where you feel safest.
  • Support to access specialist services around supporting and improving your mental health and/or access to substance misuse services
  • Support at the level, intensity and frequency that you want it at

Building trusting relationships with clients is central to our successful resettlement outcomes. We engage and enable residents through encouraging their ownership and involvement in the services available. The service provided is dynamic in offering choice and variety, we actively encourage Housing First residents to engage with, and become a part of their community and move away from the streets – for good.
