About the childcare provider

Description

Étoile Childcare is a warm, home-based childcare setting in Bath, designed to provide children with a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where they can learn, play, and grow with confidence.

Led by Marielle Dora Ngoma, a Psychology student with experience in nursery care, nannying, and child development research, Étoile Childcare offers more than just supervision. It delivers thoughtful, child-centred care focused on emotional well-being, secure attachment, and early learning.

Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, Étoile Childcare blends Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Hygge-inspired approaches to promote independence, creativity, curiosity, and calmness. Children participate in engaging activities such as outdoor play, arts and crafts, music and movement, storytelling, sensory play, cooking, mindfulness, and age-appropriate learning.

The childcare setting also embraces diversity and inclusion, introducing children to various cultures, the French language, and British Sign Language through songs, play, and daily routines. With small ratios, strong partnerships with parents, and regular updates, families can feel reassured that their child is cared for in a loving "home away from home."

At Étoile Childcare, every child is supported in feeling safe, valued, and ready to shine.
