Wellbeing at Bath Medical Museum
We are an inclusive and diverse group who have a shared common interest in well-being. Key to what we do are based on the questions, "What makes us happy?" and "What ought we to do to be happy?" All our activities are peer-led.
We offer peer-led wide ranging group activities, discussions and experiences to counter the stress of modern living to those who encounter pre-exam stress, work stress and those who feel isolated living on their own. We welcome guest speakers to share their experience of wellbeing with us. Our activities and relaxation techniques include:
- Deep breathing
- Yoga
- Acupressure
- Zen garden meditation
- Connecting with nature through soundscapes, walks
- Origami
- Discovering our "ikigai" - Japanese for bringing joy to everyday living, and
- Discussion on plants and wellbeing - "from root to fruit".
