Description
We provide an inspiring and rich environment where children can learn new skills, work with natural materials and explore the magic of woodland.
Some of the activities will include den building, singing, bushcraft, cooking and storytelling around the campfire as well as whittling, clay, weaving, felting and spinning with wool as well as mindfulness games and lots more.
The children have a range of activities to choose from and time for free play in an exciting, open-ended environment with mud kitchen, sandpit, playhouse and shelter.
Sessions are for children and parents do not stay.
What to bring?
CLOTHING:
There’s a saying in the outdoor world: there’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing.
Weather can be so changeable, so please ensure that the children have the appropriate clothing to support their wellness and comfort throughout the day.
What is your Cancellation Policy ?
Bookings are made in advance and since spaces are limited we regret that we cannot offer refunds if your child are unable to attend sessions 3 weeks of the start day.
However we will endeavour to offer you space to families from our waiting list.
If situations out of our control force us to cancel a session, for example weather warnings, high winds; electrical storms. This will only occur if there is a safety risk. In these circumstances Creative Roots – Outdoor Learning offer either an alternative session/date where possible, or a full refund.
If we need to postpone sessions due to a change in government guidelines we will credit we will credit the sessions to when we are able to start up again.
If we need to cancel a session for any other reason you will be offered a refund or a credit.
In all cases where we need to cancel we will let you know as soon as possible.
We have Public Liability insurance up to £5,000,000, underwritten by Birsbeck.
