Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme

Find out about free holiday clubs for children and young people who receive benefits-related free school meals.

To book a place, you must live in Bath and North East Somerset and your child must receive benefits-related free school meals and be in Reception to Year 11.

What the programme offers

Our HAF programme provides healthy food and enriching activities during the school holidays. Every club provides:

  • at least one healthy meal a day
  • active physical activities (like sports or dance)
  • creative activities (like arts, crafts or cooking)
  • a safe environment to socialise and learn new skills

About the programme

Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) activities, funded by the Department of Education, is delivered across Bath and North East Somerset by a variety of local and national partners. Each provider has experience in delivering high quality holiday camps and trips and offer different opportunities and activities.

All sessions include a free meal, enriching activities and fun! Your child or young person should bring a refillable drinks bottle, wear suitable clothing for indoor and outdoor activities, and arrive with lots of energy!

Check back here from Friday 19 June, when you can explore what activity camps and trips will be available over the summer holiday 2026.

How to book

Places are booked through our partner platform, Holiday Activities. Eligible families will receive a unique HAF pass via text message or email through the booking platform.

  • Passes will be issued on Wednesday 24 June at 6.30pm, providing access to 8 booking credits.
  • A further 8 credits will be released on Wednesday 1 July at 6.30pm.

This gives each child a total of 16 credits, which can be used to book up to 16 individual sessions across the summer holidays. Each pass is sent directly to the main contact linked to the child. You can access and book activities by following the link provided in the email or text.

Warning If you have not received your HAF Pass, contact your child’s school directly before trying to book.

Children with SEND

We offer specific sessions for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Many of our mainstream clubs also provide 1-to-1 support.

If you do not receive free school meals

In some cases, we can offer places to vulnerable children who do not receive free school meals. Please contact your chosen activity provider to discuss eligibility.
