King Edwards School - Nursery Independent School. King Edwards Pre-Prep is situated to the west of Bath, close to rolling green fields and housed in a beautiful Victorian Building. On entering the school you will immediately be welcomed by the sense of warmth and care that is central to our schools philosophy. You will be met by happy and confident children who will enjoy sharing their experiences of their school with you. As staff, we nurture within every individual child, a joy for learning and independence that allows each one of them to reach their potential in all aspects of our broad, creative curriculum. We provide the children with opportunities to learn through first hand experiences, investigations and imaginative play. As class sizes are small, each child's needs are rapidly identified and addressed. Learning is personalised to meet the needs of the individual child. The children's ideas and interested are sought when planning class projects and activities. The children enjoy specialist music teaching, French, dance, games and gymnastics. They learn to swim and are offered wide variety of after school activities including sports, ICT and the arts to mention just a few. We are very fortunate to enjoy the benefits of a carefully designed school grounds that incorporates facilities to meet the needs of the children's physical and social development along with opportunities for creative play and exploring the natural world within our gardens, pond area and potting shed. We are a Forest School which means that each week we take a group of children to a local forest where the curriculum is continued in the forest environment.
