About the childcare provider

Description

We wanted to share with you some of the wonderful experiences we have plan for our children as well as our vision for The Power of Play. The nursery itself is designed to be a small intimate setting for children, a place that feels homely and filled with professional love and adventure! In the moment planning is embedded in our daily practice where our team tailors individual learning for all our children. We feel passionately about a child led approach to the early years curriculum as we know how important the first five years of a child’s life is to ensuring the foundation for lifelong learners! We have a high expectation of pastoral care from our teams, for our children. Our Baby room (0-2yrs) has their own dedicated space for 6 babies a day. The Baby Room Leader, Laura, is an experienced Room lead who has inspired baby room practice for the past 11 years and is a mummy to a one year old. Laura strives to provide our babies with many wonderful experiences such as cooking, excursions in and around our wonderful community, baby sensory sessions and lots more. Our over two’s area (2-4yrs) has their own dedicated space with free flow access to the garden. Our space is designed to have a maximum of 20 Pre-school and 8 toddler children per day. Our over 2’s is led by our Pre-school teacher, Nic. Nic is an experienced Primary Teacher who has a love for early years and phonics. Nic embeds phase one phonics into the curriculum to ensure the children are secure in phase one before starting school. Whilst Nic oversees the over two’s floor, our Senior Educator, Yasemin, works with Nic to ensure that our Toddlers are emersed in the experiences on offer. Toddlers and Pre-school are offered sessions such as weekly Ballet, Phonics, Resident French lessons, cookery sessions, visits to our local allotment to support our learning around sustainability, excursions to our Neston Farm Nursery for Forest school days, adventures in and around Bath and much more!
