About the childcare provider

Description

Noah's Ark Preschool opened in September 2002. It is run by a Helen Simpson who is a qualified primary teacher and has a team of 6 staff, 4 of whom are also teachers. We take pride in preparing our children well for the next stage in their education, including focusing on learning key reading skills with the Jolly Phonics scheme that is used by our local Primary Schools. We have strong links with Weston All Saints Primary School and St Marys RC School where most of our children go after spending 1 or 2 years with us.

We meet in the All Saints Centre on the High Street at the heart of Weston Village and see ourselves very much as part of the community. We often have local people coming in to talk to the children, including a postman, fireman, policeman, lollipop lady, nurse and rector. We also have wonderful links with the local library, shops, and All Saints Church where twice a year we take a leading role in the Sunday morning Family Service. We also hold our Christmas concert and Summer Graduation in the beautiful two hundred year old church building.
