Description
Every child deserves the best possible start in life and support to their full potential. A child's experiences in the early years has a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right, and it provides the foundation for children to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.
Sunbeams is a friendly Foundation Stage Unit for 3-5 year olds within the School. We offer outstanding, flexible, sessional care where children can play and learn together surrounded by highly qualified and experienced practitioners.
Our school is fully inclusive and we value the diversity of individuals. Our policies promote equality of opportunity for all children and we are pleased to offer any disabled pupil or pupil with individual needs a place in Sunbeams.
We offer excellent early years education based on the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and provide learning and teaching experiences of the highest quality. We deliver a carefully balanced combination of adult-led and child-led activities. Sometimes practitioners will stand back and observe a child in play, sometimes we will guide on the side and sometimes we take the lead, but all the time we provide planned, purposeful, playful activities and first-hand learning experiences that will help our children make sense of the world. Our wonderfully spacious, well-resources environment enables us to provide opportunities for playing and learning both indoors and outdoors.
We recognise that parents are children's first and most enduring educators and we value being partners with you in your child's education. We have an open-door policy throughout our school and welcome parents in to discuss their children's learning and any other issues that may arise.

Cost breakdown
Extra morning and afternoon sessions are charged at £12 per session. Extra lunchtime sessions are charged at £4.50 per session. Hot lunch is an additional charge of £2.80.
