About the childcare provider
Description
I have 11 years experience of working with children as a childminder and five years experience of working with ages 2 to 4 at a local pre-school.
I am qualified in childcare, hold a NVQ3 in Childcare and Early Years Education and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. My areas of study included looking at early years literacy, speech and language development, use of technology and approaches to learning mathematics. My experience includes providing a range of appropriate activities at home for both Primary and Secondary pupils in a stimulating, safe and comfortable environment.
I love working with children and have developed a range of creative resources to incorporate the academic aspects of childcare, as well as the practical side. My favourites are craft activities, cooking with and for children and outdoors gardening/outdoor exploration. I have good access for manual wheel chairs and a downstairs cloakroom. I have an enclosed back garden and an open plan front garden, with no vehicle access, bordering a green. I am also very close to community woodlands and local parks.
I am very well placed to take children across the age range. I can provide childcare for pre-school children during the day, as well as after school provision for pupils attending Chandag and Wellsway schools. This includes dropping off and collecting children when required.
I can provide references and I am happy to arrange taster sessions for both day care and after school provision. I am a PACEY member in addition to following all statutory childminding requirements.
