What do Shout Out Advocacy offer?

An Advocate makes sure that your views and wishes are heard. We help you speak out when things go wrong, make sure you get the support you need and help you understand your rights.

Young person with a disability

  • We can support you to make a transition. This could be from school to college, from Children’s Services to Adult Services or from college to work.
  • We can make sure your views are heard and that you are involved in the plans and decisions being made.

EHC Plan Review Meeting

  • We can help you prepare for adulthood by looking at your options around things like work, College, independent living and other activities you might like to try.
  • And we can help make sure you have everything you need in your plan and your voice is heard

Who can access support from Shout Out Advocacy?

A young person with a disability who needs help with;

  • planning for a transition
  • EHC plan review meetings

Children/ young people in care or a care leaver;

Children/ young people needing support around a Child Protection Conference

Children/ young people making a complaint against Children's Social Care;

Those aged 16 or 17 and homeless.

Where can I access the service?

If you are a child or young person and want information or support, or you are an adult and want to refer a child or young person, then please contact the team.

How can I access the service?

We work with children and young people in a range of places. These include community venues, places where children and young people live, hang out, and/or go to school, as well as our own premises in Bath and Midsomer Norton.
