Curiositree

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am -3pm. Full days of project-based learning and outdoor natured-based education. We incorporate art and science as routes to learning collaboratively and understanding ourselves better.

We believe that creativity, collaboration and kindness are central to developing the confidence to learn and socialise. We see evidence everyday, that being outside in nature is a source of health, joy and inspiration to children.

The ability to self-regulate and understand one's own 'emotional weather' is key learning for all children.  Developing sensitivity towards others together with acceptance of ourselves helps create a safe space to have fun, play and learn.

The pace of the day reflects the children who are present and their needs. As they see that their ideas and feelings are valued develop the confidence and motivation to try new things.  The physical and emotional space around them means that on any day they can be brave or not, they can choose when to take risks and try something challenging or not.  There is no judgement or pressure rather support and opportunities.

Activities have included: Celtic people and their tattoo art, Viking stories,  molecules and how they behave - lava lamp making, UV light project - screen-printing and Cyanotype printing, glass work, outings to exhibitions, building medieval London - burning it.

We play games, listen to each other and spend time cooking on the fire every lunchtime.

Feel free to call and discuss your child's needs.
