Mentoring Plus

Professional Mentoring with Mentoring Plus supports children and young people aged 5-25 who may be struggling with school attendance, experiencing EBSA, in alternative provision or educated out of school.

Professional Mentors work with young people aged 5-25 in B&NES and neighbouring counties who may be educated out of school, not currently accessing education, at an alternative provision or in mainstream education. This project is popular for students struggling with school attendance or experiencing school avoidance.

Young people are matched with a professional mentor who can win trust and build a relationship encouraging a young person to leave the house, try new things, have educational experiences and enjoy pursuing their own positive interests.

Mentoring Plus provide 1:1 sessions with a young person for up to 3 hours per week and a practitioner to support multi-agency processes and regular mentoring reports.
