About

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am -3pm.

We incorporate Maths, English, Art, Science and Humanities into a collaborative learning experience that supports children/young people of regain trust and curiosity to learn. The community here enables them to find confidence in self-acceptance and a place where they can 'be themselves'. This creates the conditions for learning and growth.

We believe that creativity, collaboration and kindness are central to developing the confidence to learn and socialise. We see evidence everyday, that being outside in nature is a source of health, joy and inspiration to children.

The ability to self-regulate and understand one's own 'emotional weather' is key learning for all children.  Developing sensitivity towards others together with acceptance of ourselves helps create a safe space to have fun, play and learn.

The day is structured, but pace of the day reflects the children who are present and their needs. As they understand that their ideas and feelings are valued they develop the confidence and motivation to try new things. The physical and emotional space around them means that on any day they can be brave or not, they can choose when to take risks and try something challenging or not.  There is no judgement or pressure rather support and opportunities.

Activities have included: Celtic people and their tattoo art, Viking stories,  molecules and how they behave, lava lamp making, UV light project, screen-printing and Cyanotype printing, glass work, outings to exhibitions, building a model medieval London and burning it.

We play games, listen to each other and spend time cooking on the fire every lunchtime.

Feel free to call and discuss your child/young person's needs.
