YMCA Brunel Group

We are a charity operating across Bath, Bristol, Wiltshire and Somerset. We offer a variety of services including: supported housing for 16-25yr olds; supported housing for adults; youth clubs and work with young carers; children's nurseries; support and advice and a health and wellbeing centre in Bath. We build strong communities where everybody can belong, contribute and thrive.

At our main site in Bath we have a fabulous health and wellbeing centre which includes a fully equipped gym and a huge range of classes. People can join the centre or pay as they go. We do not ask for a joining fee and there are no contracts!  Members get 2 free personal training sessions and a training plan that is personally tailored to each member and updated regularly through on going 1-2-1's. We have staff on site all the time to help and support people on their wellbeing journey. Our members say we are the 'friendliest' gym in Bath' and we pride ourselves on making the whole gym and class experience inclusive and welcoming. We offer a vast range of classes at our Bath site and also at the Dojo nearby. These include: yoga, Pilates, HIIT, circuits, boxing, Body Pump, studio cycling, kettlebells and so much more! We are particularly proud of the fact we have a significant group of members who we would describe as older adults, who have found a wonderful sense of community at our centre. Mornings in the gym are very sociable.  Our  qualified and experienced staff team also work with referrals from GP's to give extra support to individual's in recovery or with specific targets.

We offer two FREE (or by donation) yoga classes a week - in our bid to make yoga inclusive and accessible. They take place at the Dojo on Tuesday 11am Yoga for All (a relaxing, gentle class) and on a Thursday 12.30pm  Community Yoga (a slightly more challenging class introducing a range or yoga postures). Both classes are suitable for beginners and are led by two wonderful teachers.

Also in Bath we offer supported accommodation to young people and some accommodation for adults. We have staff on hand to offer support and advice to young people and signpost them if necessary to the best service for their needs.

We also operate a commercial hostel in Bath for backpackers, travellers, groups and families. This hostel helps us fund our charitable work with young people at risk. So staying at the YMCA is not only giving you a great city centre base, but you are helping others too!
