Information, support and guidance for people with hearing or vision loss in Bath and North East Somerset. Delivered jointly by Sight Support West of England and the Royal Association for Deaf people.

The Sensory Support Service in Bath and North East Somerset offers information, advice and practical support for people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf, hard of hearing, or who have dual sensory loss.

Delivered jointly by Sight Support West of England and the Royal Association for Deaf people (RAD), this commissioned service brings together specialist expertise to provide a single, easy-to-access point of support. The service offers friendly, flexible and tailored support to help people manage everyday life with a sensory impairment.

Support includes:

  • Practical advice and tailored information
  • Access to assistive equipment and technology
  • Guidance on local services and community support
  • Emotional and wellbeing support
  • Support to help you stay independent, connected, and informed

Support is also available to family members, carers and professionals. Whether sensory loss is recent, long-term or changing, the team will help guide people to the right support.

People can contact either organisation and will be supported to access the service that best meets their needs.
