Active Steps (part of the Active Way)

Active Steps is a FREE ten-week programme helping increase everyday physical activity through led rides and guided walks.

The goal of the FREE ten-week Active Steps programme is to improve health and wellbeing by promoting walking or cycling for everyday journeys.

We offer weekly guided walks and/or led cycle rides, with advice, guidance and encouragement along the way.

Our programme is made to fit everyone's needs and abilities, with the chance to make new friends and find support. The programme will help to increase fitness levels, boost mood, help sleep and increase energy levels, while enjoying a fun and social experience.

The sessions will be approximately one hour per week (depending on ability), with flexible starting points within Midsomer Norton, Radstock, Paulton and Westfield.  We aim to give lots of variety as well as raise awareness of local Somer Valley walking and cycling routes.

If you want to cycle and you have your own bike, we can help you with basic checks and fixes to keep it working well.  But if you don't, then no problem. We can loan you a bike during the programme.
