About

Connection Cafés are part of our work with local communities. The first part of the sessions will be a chance to have a cuppa, meet other people and settle in. This will be followed by an interactive activity facilitated by a member of the team or one of our partners. There will be a different activity at each Cafe.

From February 2025, whilst major project works take place at Bath Assembly Rooms, Connection Café’s will be held at Burdall’s Yard, near London Road, in their cafe and gallery space. Burdall's Yard, 7A Anglo Terrace, BA1 5NH.

Important Important Information

The Bath Assembly Rooms were designed by John Wood the Younger in 1769. Their purpose was to be a place for dancing and music. When they were completed in 1771 they were described as 'the most noble and elegant of any in the kingdom'.

The National Trust are currently working on a new visitor experience which will enable the Assembly Rooms to continue to be a place for assembly, connection and entertainment, welcoming in Bath’s visitors and residents. The full experience is currently due to open in 2026, but until then there will be special events, tours and programming at the Bath Assembly Rooms.
