About

We’re the Bath Shed –  a welcoming community group for people of all genders over 50, offering a place to make, connect and chat.  Think of us as a youth club for older people.

We’re part of the Men’s Shed movement, which began in Australia in 1999 and has since grown to around 2000 sheds worldwide.

What do we do?

Men’s Sheds (or Sheds) are places to enjoy practical projects, learn and share skills, and spend time with others.

Our members mainly work with wood, making items such as bird boxes, bug hotels, planters and benches.  Making things brings a sense of achievement, and doing it together creates a community too.

When do we do it?

We currently run Shed sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays between 10.30am and 3.30pm.

In summary

A Shed is similar to a garden shed, it is a space full of tools and projects.

There is, however, one key difference.  You’re never alone in a Shed.

If this interests you, and you are over 50, either pop in if we’re open or contact us by telephone or email, details above.
