Somer Valley Rediscovered

The Somer Valley Rediscovered aims to improve access and people’s connection to nature, supporting and enabling positive local action and improving health and wellbeing. We deliver initiatives that increase resilience to climate change, restore and enhance biodiversity, particularly within the Cam and Wellow catchment, that enable communities and nature to thrive.

We offer free events, wellbeing courses and volunteering opportunities to residents of Bath and North East Somerset. Our events are all related to nature, such as foraging, bat, or wildlife identification walks and talks! We also run family friendly buggy walks and music workshops. Our wellbeing courses are 6-week long courses, which include, 'Nature, Craft, Connection', 'Mindfulness and Meditation', 'Tai Chi', 'Forest Bathing' and 'Nordic Walking'. We also offer tasters for our courses so that you can try them being signing up for a course.

Volunteering with us is a chance for people in the Somer Valley to improve access and connect people to nature, supporting and enabling positive local action and improving health and wellbeing.  Some of the activities we will be offering include land management, habitat surveying, and public engagement. We give volunteers the training and support they need and encourage new skill development. Together we can make a real difference in recovering nature and connecting people to the Somer Valley.
