The Urban Garden
We are a social enterprise garden centre that offers accredited horticulture training for adults. We also offer 3-6 month work placements for long term unemployed people looking to get back into work.
We are offering a free Level 1 City and Guilds course in Practical Horticulture. This is for candidates who want to gain basic horticultural skills. This course will allow you to learn, develop and practise the skills required for progression into the horticultural sector.
You need to be on an income of less than £21,000 to qualify for the course.
Course location: The Urban Garden, Marlborough Buildings, Bath BA1 2LZ
The course runs for 12 weeks from 3rd March with one week off at Easter
Start date: Friday 3rd March 2023 9.30am-12.30pm.

We are also offering work placements for long term unemployed people in our garden centre. These sessions are for people who are looking to work in the horticultural sector or would like to gain more experience in retail. The sessions run on a Friday, either 10.30am-12.30pm or 1.30pm-3.30pm. The placement will last from 3-6 months.
