The council do not currently provide a mobility scooter and wheelchair hire service. Here are some local suppliers who hire or sell equipment:

Where possible, it's a good idea to try different types of wheelchairs before hiring or buying. The Independent Living Centre give impartial equipment advice via email or telephone and have a large assessment centre in Trowbridge where you can see and try out different mobility aids. Or ask the services listed above about trying out equipment before making your decision.
