Curo Independent Living Service (ILS)

A person centric support service that enables people to build independence and remain living within their own homes and communities. This flexible service offers a wide range of support mechanisms, including a personal alarm linked to a 24/7 monitoring centre. The service can be access free for 6 months for those who qualify.

The service offers:
  • Pendant alarm – 24 hour a day, 7 days a week emergency support
  • Shopping – our Independent Living Officers offer transportation and walk-around support with shopping. They are also able to collect shopping on people’s behalf, and support setting up on-line shopping where applicable
  • Medication collection
  • Transportation to appointments (doctors, hospital, opticians etc)
  • Well-being calls and visits – wearing Personal Protective Equipment (to keep you safe)
  • Paperwork - form filling, support with mail, applications Phone calls, Signposting, Dementia support
  • Benefits and maximising income- e.g. Attendance Allowance, PIP, ESA etc.
  • Advocate – We listen to you and can help get your point across in meetings or reviews
  • Social activities / help if you feel lonely – we will help you find and access local events; we can go for a walk together or just have a coffee and a chat
