Curo Independent Living Service (ILS)
A person centric support service that enables people to build independence and remain living within their own homes and communities. This flexible service offers a wide range of support mechanisms, including a personal alarm linked to a 24/7 monitoring centre. The service can be access free for up to 12 months for those who qualify.
How do I access this service?
We are unique in our offer and provide reliable, friendly and quality support. We are happy to have an informal chat to see if we can help answer any questions, whether this is for you or for a family member or friend.

- Pendant alarm – 24 hour a day, 7 days a week emergency support
- Shopping – our Independent Living Officers offer transportation and walk-around support with shopping. They are also able to collect shopping on people’s behalf, and support setting up on-line shopping where applicable
- Medication collection
- Transportation to appointments (doctors, hospital, opticians etc)
- Well-being calls and visits
- Paperwork - form filling, support with mail, applications Phone calls, Signposting, Dementia support
- Benefits and maximising income- e.g. Attendance Allowance, PIP, ESA etc.
- Advocate – We listen to you and can help get your point across in meetings or reviews
- Social activities / help if you feel lonely – we will help you find and access local events; we can go for a walk together or just have a coffee and a chat
