About

Mentoring Plus specifically support young people identified as facing more than one risk factor from those detailed below:
•    Displaying signs of anti–social behaviour
•    Either disengaged, excluded or at risk of exclusion from education
•    Or not in employment or training (NEET)
•    In or leaving care
•    Experiencing significant challenges out of school – including factors such as a lack of role models, family breakdown, bereavement, isolation and historic domestic violence.

Young people are matched with a volunteer mentor for up to 1 year. 

This service is offered to young people aged 12-21 (21-25 with a SEND diagnosis). We provide an in-school primary mentoring service for which referrals are received directly from primary schools or through the Behaviour & Attendance Panel of primary headteachers. Age: 12 – 21 years (21-25 with SEND diagnosis). Primary mentoring via primary schools for direct referrals or through Behaviour and Attendance Panel process.
