We're here for you at all stages of the court process and can offer emotional and practical support, and some help with completing court forms. We cannot give legal advice, and if our volunteers can’t help, we will try to suggest other services for callers.

Theraplay

A one-to-one play-based therapeutic programme designed to support a child and carer to form positive and healthy attachments and relationships. This programme is usually offered in the family home over 10-12 weeks (more if the child has been fostered or adopted). Theraplay is a structured form of nurturing play which is led and organised by the adult whilst being responsive to the child. The carer and child are supported to further develop their relationship and trust in one another and other future relationships. The child’s social and emotional confidence is also developed. Delivered by trained practitioners as part of Bright Start Children’s Centre Services.

Trauma Recovery Centre, Bath
We are specialists in helping families recover from multiple and complex trauma and we provide 1:1 trauma recovery support to children, youth, young adults (aged between 3-24 years) and parenting support groups for parents/carers of those aged 16 years and under. We holistically support families through specialist creative therapies such as art therapy, music therapy, play therapy, creative counselling and specialist parent support groups.
