Inclusive Holiday Playscheme are co-ordinated by Bath Area Play Project, and include sessions and involvement from organisations such as WECIL.
Holiday Playschemes run during the school holidays at locations across Bath & North East Somerset.
- BAPP are providing 3 session age groups - 5 to 10 years (Primary - EARTH) 11 to 15 years (Lower Secondary - SKY) 16 to 19 years (Upper Secondary - FIRE). You'll see when requesting a place that Magic Bookings is still set up for you to choose a provider based on your child/ren's age for ease.
- BAPP will also be providing sessions in their new venue at Somer Centre in Midsomer Norton for the Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary age groups.
- Sessions run for 5 hours - usually 10 am to 3 pm.
- Standard session price is £20 or £15 for those children who are entitled to benefit-related free school meals (8 years old +).
April 2024 - booking now open
On Tuesday 9th April there will be a welcoming afternoon at the Somer Centre for those Secondary Children that haven't attended before, to be able to look at around at the centre and meet the staff/ask questions. Parents are welcome to attend for the first hour (12:30pm-1:30pm) and then the children can stay and play till 5pm. These spaces need to be booked via Magic Bookings by selecting this day in your requests.
For existing members, you will be able to book onto BAPP's April Short Breaks Holiday Playscheme Magic Booking. Please log into your accounts to complete these requests.
As with all previous Holiday Playschemes, all parent requests are reviewed and places then allocated.
If you have not yet created an account to book onto these playschemes, please follow the below instructions.
Parent carers will need to create an account on their booking website. Once registered, follow the following steps:
- Create your account by adding your details (please note there is an option to add an additional account holder for those who wish to have both parents details added or those who co-parent)
- You'll then need to add in your child/ren details (please select the three lines at the top of your accounts page and select children - Then + Add Child, individual children will need to be added separately)
- Add - 'Bath Area Play Project' as your centre
- There is a HELP? option on the main page with helpful guides if you require any assistance, at any time.
- Once you are registered, you will receive an email letting you know when sessions are available to book.
- When the activity dates go live - Choose the Activity/setting you are interested in attending (Holiday Playscheme)
- We would prefer that you tick the Ad-hoc option when it comes to picking the dates that are your preference and please avoid ticking all dates. Then depending on demand, the allocations will be 1 or 2 spaces a week at Three Ways School and 3 or more days at other locations due to the level of demand.
- Select the dates which are your preference.
- We will then either approve or decline each date depending on the number of places available.
- You will then receive an email confirming your dates allocated with an invoice attached.
- Once places are confirmed, if for any reason you need to cancel, you can do this on the system, but you will only be refunded or receive a credit (please allow 5 working days for this) if we have been notified about the cancellation and are able to reallocate the space to another child.
