BAPP Saturday Clubs
We run two Saturday Clubs as part of the Short Breaks Term time contract open to all children who meet the eligibility criteria for Short Breaks. See BAPP website. One for primary age children and one for secondary. All our staff are experienced at working with children with disabilities and additional needs, including complex needs and many work in Special Schools full time.
Saturday Club 5+ runs term time Saturday mornings in Twerton, providing disabled and SEND children aged 5 to 12 years with a fun social group where children can play inside and out. There is a large secure outside space including sensory planting, water, places to hide and access to mud, water and sand. Inside we have a soft play room and Sensory Room as well as opportunities for creative and messy play staffed by experienced Playworkers. Saturday Club 12+ runs term time Saturday starting mid-morning in Odd Down, providing disabled and SEND young people 12+ years with a fun social group with a creative focus. Activities can include design and printing t-shirts, scratch art, clay, animation as well as cooking and physical activities based on the interests of the group members staffed by experienced Play and Youthworkers. Some sessions can take place off site as part of support for developing life skills e.g using public transport. Sessions are offered depending on demand for places on a termly basis.
