About
Butterflies Haven is a registered charity supporting autistic children and young people aged 3–18, providing safe, inclusive sessions where they can socialise, build confidence, and develop life skills.
Through age-appropriate activities, creative opportunities, physical exercise, and personalised support, we help young people thrive while promoting independence and wellbeing.
Our dedicated volunteers create a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and empowered, while offering vital support to families living with autism.
We run three groups:
JUNIOR YOUNG VOICE SOCIAL GROUP
Age: 3 - 7 yrs
Day: Fridays term time only
Time: 5:15 pm - 6:15 pm
Venue: St Francis Church, Keynsham
Freedom play, arts/crafts, and Dreams Room where your children can be calm and feel safe.
SENIORS YOUNG VOICE SOCIAL GROUP
Age: 8 -11 yrs
Day: Fridays term time only
Time: 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Venue: St Francis Church, Keynsham

STEP-UP GROUP
Age: 12 - 18 yrs
Day: Mondays term time only
Time: 6.30pm - 7.30pm
Venue: St Francis Church, Keynsham
A specialised youth club for teenagers which provides a variety of activities and outings.
Butterflies Haven is a registered charity established in 2016, dedicated to supporting children, young people, and families living with autism. We provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where children aged 3–18 can build friendships, develop confidence, learn new skills, and enjoy activities tailored to their individual needs.
Through weekly termly sessions, creative projects, sports, life-skills activities, and personalised support, we help children and young people thrive while encouraging independence and social development. Our experienced volunteers understand the diverse needs of autism and work to ensure every child feels safe, valued, respected, and empowered.
At Butterflies Haven, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, while families deserve understanding, support, and a community where they belong.
