Action for ME

Our vision is a world without Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). Our mission is to improve the lives of people affected by ME. Better meeting their needs today while taking action to secure change for tomorrow. Action for ME is the only charity in the UK providing support, including healthcare, to people of all ages affected by ME. We take a holistic approach so we can make an impact on multiple fronts - from amplifying the voices of people affected by ME in Government and leading on breakthrough research, to providing "lifeline" support and unique healthcare services on a daily basis.

All-Aboard Watersports - Visual Impairment Friendly Watersports

All-Aboard is an accessible watersports charity based in Bristol Harbour, dedicated to removing barriers so everyone can enjoy the benefits of watersports. We have launched a watersports program for children and young people with Visual Impairments where they can learn to row in Bristol Harbour with the support of friendly and experienced volunteers. We will be launching a sailing taster day with a view to offering RYA Youth Stage Courses and in September we will be running a paddling taster day where you can try katakanu, SUP and kayaking.

Avon Fire & Rescue offer free Home Fire Safety Visits to vulnerable people in our communities, to keep them safer from fire in their homes. During our visits we talk about fire safety and install smoke alarms and potentially other fire safety equipment, free of charge. Bath Mind's wellbeing groups support hundreds of people across B&NES in creating new connections and support systems. There is an array of weekly activities and projects available.
