WECIL DIRECT PAYMENTS AND PAYROLL SUPPORT SERVICES:

WECIL Direct Payments Support Service:
This includes an allocated Independent Living Payment Advisor that will help
set up your Direct Payment with you and be your person to contact if you
need any support in managing any aspect of your Direct Payment. You
can contact them directly on the telephone or by email Monday to
Friday 9am to 4:30pm. The service includes a 6 monthly review of your
Direct Payment to make sure it is meeting your care and support needs,
that spending is in line with your budget, and you are meeting your
legal responsibilities as an employer if you employ your own Personal
Assistants. We also support with setting you up with an agency if that is how you choose to use your Direct Payment.

WECIL work with Adults, Young Adults, and Parents of Disabled Children. We understand that everyone's needs are different. As a user led organisation, we know the benefits of individual, bespoke support and we are committed to doing our best to find that for you.

WECIL Support with Administering your funds on your behalf:
A supported bank account - this is our most comprehensive service
for Direct Payment holders that would like the highest level of Direct
Payment Support including help to manage the finances of the Direct
Payment on your behalf. This includes receiving the funding from the local
authority and a financial personal contribution, if you have one, paying
HMRC, your Personal Assistants and / or Care Agencies, insurers and
payroll and support fees. We audit your account regularly to make sure
spending is in line with income and all the elements of our Direct Payment
Support are included with a named Independent Living Payment Advisor.

Payroll Support Service:
If you choose to employ with your Direct Payment, we can administer your payroll to provide you with what you need to meet your employer legal duties.  You would send your Personal Assistant’s timesheets to us monthly and we will
calculate their wages, tax and National Insurance, sick pay, maternity or
paternity pay, any other deductions and annual leave allowance. We submit
your monthly returns to HMRC foryou. We email or post your employees’
payslips and pay reports to you. You can manage your employer and
employee pension contributions yourself but if you would like us to
do this for you then we will calculate the monthly pension contributions
and record these with the pension provider, usually NEST Pensions.
