About
Step outside, slow down and reconnect.
Edventures Wellbeing Experiences are gentle, guided outdoor sessions designed to support wellbeing through time in nature, meaningful connection and simple, practical activities.
You don't need to be an experienced walker or outdoor enthusiast. Our sessions are designed to provide a welcoming and supportive environment where you can enjoy being outdoors at a comfortable pace, meet others and take some time away from the pressures of everyday life.
We currently offer three different wellbeing experiences:
De-stress & Resilience Workshop
Ideal for busy minds that need time to slow down and reset. Explore peaceful countryside paths while discovering simple mindfulness techniques and practical tools that can help you manage stress and build resilience in everyday life.
Community & Connection Walk
A relaxed, social walk for people who would like to get outdoors and meet others. Small, supportive groups provide an informal environment where you can walk, talk, share experiences and enjoy some fresh air and good company.
Creative Nature Connection
A slower and more reflective outdoor experience combining gentle walking with creative activities, journaling prompts and time in nature. It provides space to think, reflect and reconnect with yourself and the natural environment.
Sessions are led by Siana, who holds a BA (Hons) in Outdoor & Experiential Learning, is a qualified Mountain Leader and has Level 2 Counselling Skills training.
Our wellbeing experiences are not counselling or therapy. Instead, they provide an accessible opportunity to spend positive time outdoors and discover simple activities that can support everyday wellbeing.
Who is the service for?
These experiences may be particularly suitable for adults who:
would like to spend more time outdoors but aren't sure where to start;
are looking for opportunities to meet people and feel more socially connected;
have busy lives and would benefit from time to slow down;
are new to the area and would like to connect with others;
would like to explore mindfulness and nature connection;
enjoy gentle walking and being outdoors;
would like some dedicated time for reflection and self-care.
No previous outdoor experience is necessary.
What happens on a session?
You'll meet your session leader and the rest of the small group before setting off on a gentle guided walk.
Depending on the experience you choose, the session may include relaxed conversation, mindfulness exercises, opportunities to pause and notice the natural environment, creative activities or reflective prompts.
There is no pressure to share personal experiences with the group. The emphasis is on creating an enjoyable, supportive experience outdoors.
Accessibility / additional needs
We want our wellbeing experiences to be as welcoming and accessible as possible.
As sessions take place outdoors, routes can include uneven paths, slopes, gates, mud and other natural terrain. The exact demands will vary between locations and sessions.
If you have mobility requirements, a health consideration or anything else that could affect your participation, please contact Edventures before booking. We can discuss the planned route and experience with you so that you can decide whether it is suitable.
