Roots to Wellbeing - Your Park Bristol & Bath
Roots to Wellbeing is a nature-based health and wellbeing support group for anyone struggling with their mental health or finding life challenging. Roots aims to support individuals to build a new relationship with nature to improve their mental and physical wellbeing, whilst building supportive local social connections.
What do we offer?
- An 18-week programme of weekly nature connection sessions – including activities such as mindfulness, sensory activities, natural craft activities and practical park work.
- Sessions start with a healthy free lunch
- Community transport can be arranged to and from site if needed
Who are the sessions for?
- People over 18 who are struggling with their mental health or finding life challenging
- People who are interested in spending time in nature in a group setting to support their wellbeing
- We appreciate that it can feel hard to attend a new group and so are happy for participants to bring a support person with them, particularly for the first few sessions.
When and where?
- Every Tuesday 12:30 – 3pm at Twerton Roundhill. We meet at the Roundhill Hub building at 12.30
What will I need to bring?
- Group members will need to be physically able to access the park and should wear appropriate clothing and footwear (e.g. waterproof footwear/coat when wet)
How can people sign up to join the groups?
- Individuals can self-refer via the form on our website
- Individuals can be referred by their GP or other professional services via our website
