Information and support for everyone 

NHS Sexual Health gives online information and advice about sexual health, contraception and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including if you need urgent help and advice, visiting a sexual health clinic, specific information for gay and bisexual men and lesbian and bisexual women, sex activities and risk and help after rape and sexual assault.

Sexual health services are free and available to everyone, find out who offers services and how you can access them in the NHS Guide to sexual health services, and you can search for services near you.

If you would like to talk to someone confidentially about a sexual health issue, you can call the National Sexual Health Helpline for free, it's open Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm.

Local support

SAFE BANES gives free sexual health information and advice for people who live in Bath and North East Somerset. Find information and local support around contraception, emergency contraception, pregnancy, relationships, how to access free condoms, advice around STI's, sexual and gender identity and sexual abuse. 

The Riverside Clinic in Bath offers testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy testing and advice, a routine and emergency contraception service, free condoms, HIV services and sexual assault follow-up care. The service is free, friendly, non-judgemental and confidential. 

Sexual health in later life

Age Sex and You aims to promote better sexual health and wellbeing in older adults by providing evidence-based information including, normal sexual changes with age, health conditions and disability, STIs and emotional issues.

Age UK Sex in later life offers information covering sex drive, your body and physical health, new relationships, STIs and safer sex.
