We work with young people who have recently attended the RUH and who:
Have been an inpatient on the paediatric ward or have attended RUH A&E
Need emotional support in adjusting to new diagnoses and navigating life's changes
Struggle with their mental health but are not currently being seen by CAMHS
What we do:
Provide a non-judgemental space to discuss worries and life's challenges
Support young people towards their wellbeing goals
Use a relaxed and friendly approach
Are young person led- we can do crafts or play games together, or go for a walk together if chatting in a room feels awkward!
Our Youth workers can meet young people at a place that suits their needs - whether that's at home, out in the community, or in school. We want to support young people in navigating the challenges that life throws at them. We take a relaxed, informal approach to supporting young people, and our sessions are led by the young person's needs.
