SWALLOW has two training cafes (in Radstock and Peasedown St. John), both for eat-in and takeaway services, where our SWALLOW members with learning disabilities learn catering and work skills.
We recruit, train and support people of retirement age, whom we describe as ‘elders’, to volunteer as GrandFriends and give their company through a range of innovative programmes designed to reach different age groups within our community, for mutual benefit.
An alternative provision set in beautiful Somerset farmland on a farm, we offer bespoke packages including 1:1 tutoring with various teachers, forest school and outdoor learning. Being set on the Original Move the Mind site we can also offer riding, equine therapy and animal therapy as part of the package.
Our teachers offer a bespoke package of teaching which is child led and taught alongside the child’s interests.
