Bath Ethnic Minority Senior Citizens Association (BEMSCA) has been established for 30 years. It began initially as a luncheon club service for the older people of the Caribbean, Asian and Chinese communities in Bath and North East Somerset. BEMSCA offers a space where all older people can meet and socialise with people from similar ethnic backgrounds to themselves. They can also access advice and information on a broad range of health, mental health and housing and welfare issues, which can be a life-line for people who do not speak English as their first language.

Bath Mind's Breathing Space service consists of both a face-to-face and telephone service, offering calm, non-clinical support for individuals experiencing poor mental health, struggling with emotional distress, suicidal ideation or feelings of overwhelm. Staffed by a team with a broad range of experience in mental health issues, the services offers a compassionate listening ear and signposting to relevant services.
