The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. They monitor, inspect and regulate services and publish what they find. Some types of care services must legally be registered and inspected by the CQC, while for others it is voluntary to register. You can search for care at home providers and find out more about how CQC rates care services on their website. Small enterprises or micro-providers who offer care at home may be exempt from CQC registration and regulation.
