Bath Ethnic Minority Senior Citizens Association (BEMSCA) has been established for over 30 years.
For the older people of the Caribbean, Asian and Chinese communities in Bath and North East Somerset. It is recognised as the trusted voice for the communities it serves.Enables people to live well by supporting them to address factors that influence their emotional and physical health and wellbeing. The service aims to work with communities and individuals to increase motivation, skills, capacity and resilience to improve health.
Home Independence Support (HIS) provides short-term support for people who need help at home following a hospital stay or to prevent avoidable hospital admission during a period of illness or recovery.
The service offers practical and emotional support to help people feel safe, confident and independent at home, and to connect with local support where needed.
Referrals are available via the Community Wellbeing Hub and existing professional and self-referral routes.
